Zee to Dance at Mipcom

India’s Zee Entertainment Enterprises has unveiled its Mipcom slate, which is led by a dance format where contestants are judged by leading Bollywood choreographers.
Dance India Dance, which is into its sixth season in India, has already spawned remakes in Singapore and Thailand and requires contestants to impress with their moves.
It’s joined on Zee’s slate by strategy gameshow Moksha, while the firm’s scripted formats include Phantasmagoria, described as ‘wickedly twisted short stories’.
The Eclipse Harvest is a crime format about the NYPD Organized Crime Control Bureau while comedy duo Hum Paanch and Kareena Kareena are also heading to Cannes.
Sunita Uchil, chief business officer of international ad sales, global syndication and production, said: “Zee has a rich history of developing and producing programs with universal themes that are adaptable to all regions of the world.”
Zee has been expanding its international operations recently, launching channels in Germany and the US, as well as exploring a global SVoD offering, as reported by C21
